Adding a Fabric Module to an Existing Fabric
Follow the guidelines described here to add an FM 3180 to an existing network. In preparation:
•
Identify the numbers or order of the current fabric modules in the fabric, which module is #1, which
is #2, and so on.
•
The new fabric module being added to the fabric must be the highest-numbered fabric module.
Adding Module #7 to a Six-Module Fabric
You have an existing fabric with six FM 3180 fabric modules. You want to add another FM 3180 to
make it a fabric of seven. To add the fabric module, you need to shift six existing connections and add
three more cables.
