Ports and LEDs
Front Panel SFP and QSFP Ports
FM 3180 contains 48 SFP28 ports and 8 QSFP28 ports as illustrated below.
QSFP28 ports 51-56 are used for Composable Fabric connections to other Composable Fabric modules.
QSFP28 ports 49 and 50 can be used for Access or Uplink connections. These QSFP28 ports can remain
single 100 GbE ports or they can break out into four 25 GbE SFP ports per QSFP282 port.
SFP28 ports 1-48 are Access ports and support the following speeds, set in the Composable Fabric
Manager UI:
10 Gbps
25 Gbps
QSFP28 LEDs
Each QSFP28 port has 4 LEDs which indicate the mode as follows:

Flashing = traffic
100G/40G mode
Flashing LED: Indicates that traffic is passing. In 100G/40G
mode, traffic is split into blocks across the four lanes. There
are no individual ports. Traffic passes across the four lanes.

Flashing = traffic
2 x 50 mode
Lanes 1&2 have traffic spread across them, and 3&4 have
traffic spread across them.
All 4 LEDs lit green
Flashing = traffic on that
port
25G/10G mode
Only ports with a
link are lit solid.
Flashing LED: Indicates that traffic is passing. Each LED
indicates traffic on the corresponding port.
The following modes are supported on all QSFP28 ports:

4 x 25 (with FEC)

1x100
1x100 (with FEC)
