VERY IMPORTANT!
Before lighting
the cooker for the first time, cover the
entire hob surface with a slight layer of
cooking oil and to keep the fire slow for
3 or 4 hours, to allow the different
components of the cooker to stabilise in
order to prevent any possible damage.
ADJUSTING DRAW
When
lighting
the
cooker,
we
recommend opening the ash pan door
valve completely. To keep the cooker
burning slowly, close the ash pan valve.
If you plan to light the cooker after a
prolonged period when it has not been
used, it is advisable to heat the chimney
by introducing burning paper through
the slide valve cover installed on the
wall or through the soot cleaning cover.
If you wish to obtain the full power the
cooker is capable of, except during the
first lighting-up process, we recommend
a heavy load during the first hour it is
being used. During subsequent hours,
add the amount of fuel required to
obtain the calorific power desired and
regulate air intake by opening or closing
the ash pan air admission valve
VII.- CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1.- Enamelled front.
Preferably clean when the cooker is
cold. Use a damp cloth dipped in soapy
water and then dry.
Avoid the use of strong detergents or
abrasive products that may damage the
enamel.
The brass hinges can be cleaned in the
traditional way using specific products;
Sidol, Netol, etc.
2.- Polished top with rings.
To preserve the aspect of this hob,
clean frequently with detergent and a
metal scouring pad and then dry.
3.- Ash
Whenever required, shake the grill to
make the ash fall into the ash pan.
Empty the ash pan in a metal container
and immediately remove from the
house.
4.- Soot
The cover that has to be removed to
clean out the soot is located below the
oven door.
This cover is used to clean soot that
may have accumulated at the bottom of
the cooker.
