Installation

2.1

Static electricity

Avoid electrostatic discharge!

Before touching any of the electronics, make sure the equipment is switched off
and the unit is connected with the equipment’s ground.

In an emergency, hold on to the console during the mounting.

2.2

Installation requirements

For installation placement, see Chapter 5 – Installation plan and floor design

During installation, it is the responsibility of the technician to ensure that all
installations meet and is implemented in compliance with national and
international requirements.

1.

230 Volt +/- 10%. 50 Hz with ground. Main fuse 10A. The cable must have
a free

end of at least 35 cm.

2.

Water, pressure 2 - 6 bar. Balltap with R 3/8” inner thread. Top 5 cm
above the floor.

3.

The water should be drinking quality and if the water has hardness greater
than 8 ºdH (1 ºdH = 20 mg calsium/3 l water) a water conditioner must be
fitted to the water inlet pipe. Hard water can very quickly ruin a dental
unit.

4.

Air, pressure 4,5-8 bar. Balltap with R 3/8” inner thread. Top 5 cm above
the floor.

5.

Drain, outside diameter 35 mm, PVC tube, Top 5 cm above the floor
(DN40).

6.

Suction, outside diameter 32 mm, PVC tube, Top 5 cm above the floor
(DN40)

7.

Steering wire to suction motor, 2x1,5mm^2, Free end 50 cm above the
floor.

8.

Steering wire to call systen, 2x1,5 mm^2, Free end 50 cm above the floor.

9.

For wiring to X-ray, the type and number of cable depends on the
manufacture. Free end minimum is 50cm above the floor.

Installation of the cable can be made over the floor. If this is the case, drill a hole
in one of the side parts. The equipment must not be mounted near strong radio-
or radar installations.

2.3

Console

1.

Drill 6 holes Ø 10 mm in the floor according to the drill plan or mounting
pattern. Chapter 5.1

2.

Tighten 2 nuts on each mounting bolt and screw the bolts into the drilled
holes. If the floor is made of a porous material, request a floor mounting
plate (item no. a-482(9010)) with the unit.
