Wireless LAN settings
Network notification: Check to receive a notification in the System bar when an open Wi-Fi network
becomes available.
Wi-Fi networks: Displays a list of Wi-Fi networks you’ve previously configured and those detected
when the TV last scanned for Wi-Fi networks.
Add Wi-Fi network: Opens a dialog where you can add a Wi-Fi network by entering its SSID (the name
it broadcasts), security type, and other properties.
Scan for Networks: To scan for available Wi-Fi networks press the ‘menu’ button on the remote or front
keypad and select ‘Scan’. All available networks will be displayed.
Scan the available networks or enter advanced wireless settings by selecting the ‘menu’ button:
Selecting a wireless network
Once the wireless network you wish to use is displayed select it by touching the screen. If teh network
is secured with an encryption key you will be prompted to enter it, then press ‘Connect’ . If no encryp-
tion key is needed then select ‘Connect’’.
The TV will attempt to obtain an IP address from the selected network unless a static IP is assigned to
the TV. You can configure a static IP in the ‘Advanced’ menu in teh next section.
If the network is open, you are prompted to confirm that you
want to connect to that network by touching Connect.
If the network is secured, you’re prompted to enter a password or
other credentials. (Ask your network administrator for details.)
Indicates the TV is connected to a wireless netwrok
If the wireless is turned on the TV scans for available Wi-Fi networks and displays the names of those it
finds. Secured networks are indicated with a Lock icon. If the TV finds a network that you connected to
previously, it connects to it. Touch a network to connect to it.
