1. Owner’s responsibility
• The tool was developed and manufactured accord-
ing to the technical norms and standards valid at
the time and is considered to be operationally reli-
able. Nevertheless, the tool can present a danger
when it is not used as intended or in an inappro-
priate way by non-qualified personnel. All persons
using this tool or carrying out maintenance work
theron must carefully read and understand these
operating instructions before commencing work.
• Any modification of the tool is strictly forbidden.
• All safety warning and operating instructions on
the device are always to be preserved in an easily-
legible condition. Immediately replace all damaged
labels or stickers.
• All indications concerning setting values and setting
ranges must be observed.
• Keep the operating instructions together with the
device at all times.
2. Proper use
Operational reliability is only guaranteed
if the tool is used as intended in accord-
ance with the information in the operating
instructions.
In addition to the safety advice in these operating
instructions, the general safety regulations, regula-
tions for the prevention of accidents and regulations
for environmental protection valid for the application
area of this device have to be observed and re-
spected.
Always ensure that hydraulic tools are used, inspect-
ed and maintained in compliance with the respec-
tive local, state, national or federal regulations.
• The tool must only be used if it is in good working
condition.
• All safety equipment must always be within reach
and should be checked regularly.
• Hydraulic pressure can be generated from a com-
pressed air supply with this pump.
• Single-acting hydraulic equipment can be directly
supplied with this pump. A directional control valve
must be connected between the pump and the
consumer in order to supply dual-acting hydraulic
equipment.
• The HAZET air-hydraulic pump 4932 N-110 serves
to operate the HAZET hollow piston cylinder 4900-
17. When operating other hydraulic aggregates, the
operating and safety instructions supplied by the
manufacturer of this aggregates must be observed.
• The HAZET air-hydraulic pump must be operated
on firm ground.
• It is essential that the hydraulic hose is of sufficient
length.
• The bending radius of the hose must not be less
than 35 mm.
• Incorrect use of the air-hydraulic pump or use whilst
failing to comply with the safety instructions can
result in serious injury or death.
• The pump must be kept away from excessively
hot areas, blazing flames or sparks. The maximum
working temperature must not exceed 50 °C.
• The pump must only be operated by foot. Do not
attempt to operate it with other body parts; this
could cause accidents.
• Do not climb on top of the pump to operate it.
Gentle foot pressure is sufficient to operate the
internal mechanism.
• In the event of malfunction, do not attempt to rectify
or repair the pump yourself. Disconnect the air sup-
ply to the pump, switch off the machine to which it
is connected and notify the person responsible for
maintaining the pump.
• It is essential that you observe the information in the
service and maintenance conditions for the HAZET
air-hydraulic pump.
• The pump may only be used in the horizontal posi-
tion.
• Any deviation from the intended use and/or any
misapplication of the device is not allowed and will
be considered as improper use.
• Any claims against the manufacturer and/or its
authorized agents because of damage caused by
improper use of the device are void.
• Any personal injury or material losses caused by
improper use of the device are the sole responsibil-
ity of the owner.
