MACH® Gas-Fired Boiler
Page 25
During any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig (14" W.C.), the
boiler should be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing the manual shut-off.
Some leak test solutions, including soap and water, may cause corrosion. These solutions should be rinsed-off with
water after testing.
3.6.2 Gas Input Connections
The MACH® dual fuel boiler is equipped with a separate connection for each fuel. The fuel line ball valves are
located
on the top of the boiler. Each line is labeled for the fuel required. The natural gas (NG) connection is a 1 1/2”
ball valve labeled “NATURAL GAS”. The propane (LP) connection is a 1 1/4” ball valve labeled “PROPANE GAS”. If
a fuel connection is not used, it must be capped.
It is imperative that the natural gas line be connected to the 1 1/2
” connection
and the propane line be connected to the 1 1/4
“ connection. Incorrect gas connections could result in
serious injury, death and/or property damage.
It is recommended to close the ball valve for the non-selected fuel.

Water Flow in System
For proper water flow requirements see below. Incorrect flow may result in eventual damage or premature failure of
the equipment.
Proper flow rates may be achieved through a combination of primary and secondary flow loops. Multiple zones and
pumps may result in different flow rates at different times. Consideration must be given to all possible conditions and
their consequences.
