Press the power off button on the front panel (
Figure 8-1
on page 61) for 5 seconds to remove the power
supply to the system.

Unplug both power cords from the system or wall outlets to remove the standby power to the system.

If necessary, label and disconnect all remaining cables to the NXAMP3801HDX/HDI.

Use a grounded wrist strap designed to prevent static discharge when handling components.

Loosen the two knurled captive panel screws on the back of the NXAMP3801HDX/HDI (see
Figure 8-2
)
and slide the cover backwards and off the chassis.
Replacement
1
To replace the cover on the chassis:
a
Side the cover forward toward the front of the chassis.
b
Secure with the two knurled captive screws (see
Figure 8-2
) .

Reconnect any cables removed during the chassis cover

Replacing the Onboard CR2032 Battery
The battery on your motherboard may be old. Check to verify that it still supplies

VDC, if not:

on page 61.

When replacing the onboard battery make sure to handle the used battery carefully. Do
not damage the battery in any way; a damaged battery may release hazardous
materials into the environment.

Using only a CR2032 CMOS battery, install the onboard battery per
Figure 8-4
on
page 63, upside down to avoid possible explosion.

Please comply with the regulations set up by your local hazardous waste management
agency to dispose of your used battery properly.

Slide the chassis cover back onto the chassis and secure with the two knurled captive
screws.

Reconnect all marked cables and power cords.

Press the power on button on the front panel (
Figure 8-1
on page 61) for 5 seconds.

Press
DEL
to go to the
BIOS
setup screen.

If your CMOS settings have been lost, go to
AMI BIOS Recovery
on page 67.
