Maintenance

Replacing a Power Supply Module

Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply module.

Look at the status LED on each plug-in power supply module (

Figure 8-5

). The LED on the failed power

supply module will not be illuminated.

Power Supply Module

To remove a plug-in power supply module:

Unplug the AC power cord only to the failed plug-in power supply module.

Push the release tab to the left.

Holding the release tab, grasp the power supply module handle and pull the power supply module
out of the frame.

To replace a plug-in power supply module:

Slide the replacement plug-in power supply module into the empty slot.

Press firmly so that it clicks in place.

Plug-in the AC power cord, the module's status LED will illuminate.
