Using and caring for the hob
Using the sensors correctly
Your hob is operated using sensors. They are
very sensitive and will react even when you
move your fingers closer. You can therefore
find some tips on correct sensor operation
here.
• When touching the sensors, only use the
entire fingertip and not just the very end
of the fingertip.
• When touching a sensor, do not apply any
pressure.
• Only ever touch one sensor.
• Ensure that none of the sensors are cov-
ered (e.g. by a potholder).
When a sensor is touched, an acoustic signal
will sound.

Pot recognition
Pot recognition is installed in the cooking
zones. Pot recognition ensures that the cook-
ing zones will be activated only if there is a pot
with a ferromagnetic base or another object
made of the same kind of metal located there.
The cooking zone becomes inactive as soon
as the pot or the magnetic object is removed.
Switching the hob on and off
To switch
• the hob on, touch the On/Off sensor (7).
A beep will sound. “
– –
” or “
–
” will appear in
all of the indicator displays.
• the hob off,
– do nothing. If you do not touch a sensor
within 60 seconds of switching the hob
on, it will switch off automatically.
– touch the On/Off sensor once again.
The hob will switch off. An audible sig-
nal will be heard; all of the LED displays
except for the residual heat displays “
K
”
will go out.
Cooking zones and sensors
The hob has four cooking zones. A sensor is
assigned to each cooking zone.
