Switching the cooking zone
on or off and setting the
heating level
Requirement: The hob is switched on.

1. To switch on a cooking zone, touch the re-
spective cooking zone sensor (9).
The indicator for that cooking zone will flash.
The setting begins with heating level 5.
2. In order to set the desired heating level,
touch one of the setting sensors / (8).
Use to increase the heating level; use
to reduce the heating level.
The indicator for the desired cooking zone
displays the current heating level.
You can also adjust the heating level as
required while cooking by touching the cor-
responding cooking zone sensor.

3. To switch off a cooking zone, touch the
cooking zone sensor.
The indicator for that cooking zone will
flash.
4. Touch one of the setting sensors / until
the cooking zone indicator displays cooking
level “
0
”. Alternatively, you can touch both
settings sensors and to switch off.
Cooking zone is not heating
If the “ ” symbol flashes in the cooking zone
indicator, there is no heating. This may be
caused by the following:
– The cookware is not placed on the correct
cooking zone.
– The cookware being used is not suitable
for induction hobs.
– The cookware is too small or is not centred
on the cooking zone.
– You lifted the pot from the cooking zone. As
soon as you replace the pot on the cooking
zone, the previously selected heat setting
will be displayed again.
Booster function
The booster function is advisable, for exam-
ple, for rapid searing or boiling water. It is also
suitable for fast boiling and continued cooking
at a reduced temperature.
When the booster function is active, the cook-
ing zone heats up at maximum power for
5 minutes. After this time, the cooking zone
returns to the original heat setting. If the orig-
inal heat setting was “
0
”, the cooking zone
heats up to heat setting “
9
”.
Requirement: The hob is switched on.

cooking zone for which you would like to
activate the booster function.
The indicator for that cooking zone will
flash.
