Dishwasher operation
Before getting started
• Read chapter “Safety” from page EN-4, in
particular the safety instructions.
• Set up and connect the appliance as
described in chapter “Installation, con-
nection and initial commissioning” from
page EN-31.
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multi-tabs.
Preparation
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Close the dishwasher door.
3. Press the button (18) to switch the ap-
pliance on.
You will hear a signal tone and all indica-
tors will illuminate briefly.
After a short time, the programme indica-
tor reading
(1) will show.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified ca-
pacity when loading your appliance and
you arrange the dishes correctly, energy
and water can be saved (see “Loading the
dishwasher” on page EN-16).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads
to higher water and energy consumption
and is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance gen-
erally uses less energy and water than
washing by hand, provided you follow the
instructions in the user manual.
– The appliance features a water tank that
collects dishwashing water from the pre-
vious wash cycle.
The appliance will automatically pump
the water collected out of the tank after
48 hours. This is to prevent the water from
sitting too long in the tank and causing
odours.
Every time the mains plug is removed
from the socket and inserted back in,
‘-:--’ will be shown on the display and
all programme indicators will light up for
8 seconds. When you close the door, the
appliance will begin pumping water out
of the water tank. This process will take
2 minutes. Only the button can be used
during this time.
– As the appliance consumes only a very
small amount of energy in standby mode,
it is recommended that you do not dis-
connect it from the mains. Otherwise, it
may lead to higher energy and water con-
sumption.
Selecting the dishwashing
programme
It is recommended that you carry out a
test run before the first dishwasher cy-
cle in order to remove residues from
the manufacturing process and in order to
ensure that the appliance functions perfect-
ly. Carry out this test run when the dish-
washer is empty and without any dishwash-
er detergent.
1. Select the suitable dishwashing pro-
gramme based on the “programme ta-
ble”, see page EN-20.
