Care and Cleaning

WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before
cleaning. Do not immerse cord, plug, or base in any liquid.
1. Unplug unit. Allow to cool.
Remove Gasket from Lid by
pulling out from under metal ring.
NOTE:
Gasket, Roasting Rack,
Rice Measuring Cup, Rice Paddle,
and Condensation Collector are
dishwasher-safe. DO NOT use
the “SANI” setting when washing
in the dishwasher. “SANI” cycle
temperatures could damage your
product.
2. Wipe Base with a soft, damp
cloth or sponge. To remove
stubborn spots, use a mild,
nonabrasive cleanser.

Pull up Steam Release Valve to
remove from Lid. Flip Lid over
and unscrew Steam Release
Valve Cover from underside of
Lid.

Hold Lid at an angle, and use
a small, soft brush to clear the
Float Valve, Steam Release
Valve Stem, and Pressure Relief
Safety Valve of any debris. Rinse
these areas with warm water.
5.
Wash Cooking Pot, Steam
Release Valve, Steam Release
Valve Cover, and Lid with warm,
soapy water. Rinse and dry.
Ensure that Steam Release Valve,
Steam Release Valve Stem, Float
Valve, and Pressure Relief Safety
Valve are clean and free of
debris. Center of Steam Release
Valve Cover must be clear of
food and debris before cooking.
6.
Replace Gasket and screw Steam
Release Valve Cover back onto
Steam Release Valve Stem to
underside of Lid. Flip Lid over
and replace Steam Release Valve
to topside of Lid (refer to “How
to Assemble” if needed).
NOTE: Use care when inserting
Gasket. Stretching Gasket will allow
steam to escape from between
Base and Lid.
Always replace Gasket with
manufacturer’s Gasket. See
“To Order Parts” in “Parts and
Features.”
