8. Settings of the Save2Data Pro App

Settings
• Cache:
Allows you to empty the cache (buffer).
• Language:
Allows you to set the app language
(a total of eight languages are available).
• Privacy setting
:
• External storage encryption:
This option, when enabled, allows you
to encrypt and protect the
Save2Data
SecureKey
by setting a password. Further
details can be found in the following section.
• Show hidden files:
Enable this option to have files displayed that
are marked with the Hidden attribute.
Note: These hidden files are only visible in the
File/Folder menu.
• Third-Party Player Settings:
Choose a
standard player for playback of file formats that
are not supported by iOS but can be played by
third-party players.
Various players are available for selection. To
use one of these players, the corresponding app
must be installed via the App Store.
• Format
: With this option, the connected
Save2Data SecureKey
is completely formatted
(to FAT32) and all data on it is deleted.
• About
: Displays information about the app and
its publisher.
8.1 Encrypting the Save2Data SecureKey
8.1.1 Setting up encryption
•
Settings
•
Select the
Privacy setting
menu.
•
Enable the control under
External storage
encryption.
•
Enter your six-character password.
•
Re-enter your password for verification.
A message is displayed informing you that the
encryption must be removed before using the
device on a computer.
•
Confirm with OK.
Your
Save2Data SecureKey
is now password-
protected.
You will be prompted to enter your password
whenever you access the
Save2Data Pro
app
with the encrypted
Save2Data SecureKey
.
8.1.2 Changing the password

Settings
•
Select the
Privacy setting
menu.
•
Change Password
•
Enter your existing password.
•
Enter your new password.
•
Re-enter your new password for verification.
•
If you have entered the details correctly, the
change will be applied.
