First Operation
The container can only be lo-
wered fully when it is horizon-
tal. If the container is slightly
turned when lowered, it auto-
matically stops before colliding
with the chassis. In such ca-
ses, the container must be rai-
sed a little again and turned so
that it is properly horizontal.
2.4.2 Emptying the sweepings
container
1. Drive the Hako-Jonas 1900 to the
waste disposal depot.
2. Stop the Hako-Jonas 1900 with a
safety clearance in front of the refuse
container.
3. Set the engine speed switch to idling
speed.
4. Clean the filter system; set the
switch for the agitating device to ON.
5. Raise the sweepings container; to do
this press and hold the safety switch
and simultaneously move the
sweepings container control lever to
the rear.
6. The sweepings container must ex-
ceed the minimum height for the
container emptying process.
7. Drive the Hako-Jonas 1900 forwards
until the sweepings container is over
the refuse disposal container.
8. Pivot the sweepings container to its
emptying position; to do this press
and hold the safety switch and simul-
taneously move the sweepings con-
tainer control lever to the right.
9. Empty the sweepings container
completely.
10.Pivot the sweepings container back
again; to do this press and hold the
safety switch and simultaneously
move the sweepings container con-
trol lever to the left.
11.Reverse the Hako-Jonas 1900 and
stop it in front of the container obser-
ving the necessary safety clearance.
12.Lower the sweepings container; to
do this press and hold the safety
switch and simultaneously move the
sweepings container control lever to
the front.
Driving the vehicle with the
sweepings container raised re-
duces the vehicle's stability.
Therefore, only raise the
sweepings container immedia-
tely prior to emptying it. Before
raising the sweepings contai-
ner, the operator must have
ensured that there are no per-
sons or items in front of or be-
side the vehicle. Only raise the
sweepings container when the
vehicle is on a horizontal sur-
face.
The vehicle may only be driven
slowly when the sweepings
container is raised.
It is forbidden for anyone to
move into the danger area.
Risk of crushing and shearing!
Before raising or lowering the
sweepings container, ensure
that there is a sufficient safety
clearance.
The sweepings container may
only be filled to the maximum
permitted filling weight. Over-
loading causes a reduction in
vehicle stability.
The sweepings container must
be cleaned at regular intervals.
The sweepings container mo-
vements are monitored. The
sweepings container comes to
an automatic stop if there is a
