The drum belt extends from the idler pulley to 

around the perimeter of the dryer drum.

Drum Belt Removal

1.  Remove the top cover and front panel (see 

Top Cover

 and 

Front Panel

 in this section of 

this service guide).

2.  Remove the front drum support by 

removing the five Phillips-head screws and 

disconnecting the harness from the clips.

  Drum Belt

3.  Once the front drum support is removed, 

reach in from the front.  With both hands 

around the blower housing on both sides, 

disconnect the belt by lifting upwards on the 

idler pulley.

4.  The drum can then be removed to access the 

rear drum bearing.
