HAGAB – INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

INTACT

Fire/Fire gas damper

6. Seal around the edge.

Seal around the edge of the damper with a fire-resistant
sealant.

7. Fix the duct

Fix the duct to the damper fitting with screws.

Check that the screws do not hinder damper blade
movement.

8. Protection grilles

If the fire/fire gas damper is not connected to the duct
system, e.g. when installing as a closing device or transfer air
device, the damper must be fitted with protection grilles on
the non-connected side. The minimum permissible distance
between the damper blade in the open position and the
grille is 50 mm. Install the thermal sensor.

Check that the screws and the thermal sensor do not
hinder damper blade movement.

Ø9mm

50 mm

If the fire/fire gas damper is not connected to the duct
system, go to step 8.

The installation must be equal to the building component’s fire
resistance class.
