To invoke the external sample measurement, use the switch provided. At the end of the
measurement, if the switch has not been reset to its initial status, a warning message is
displayed.
8.6 Heating system
D A N G E R
Electrocution hazard. Always make sure the analyzer is turned off and power is disconnected
before installing this option.
The analyzer can be programmed to heat the sample prior to measurement, to make sure
measurements are made at a constant and regular temperature.
Install the option as follows:
1.
Insert the heating cartridge into an empty threaded location in the top of the
measurement chamber (
No. 2
in
Figure 3
on page 9) and screw in finger tight. For
optimal operation of the heater system, the sample in the measurement chamber
should cover at least 3 cm of the heating cartridge.
2.
Connect the cable to terminals 1 and 11 of J13 in the electronic unit (refer also to
Figure 8
on page 18 and
Table 5
on page 19).
Reconnect power to the analyzer and proceed as follows:
1.
From the
PROGRAMMING
menu, select
PM XXXX
and enter the special code.
2.
Select the
OPTION
menu.
3.
Select the
HEATING
option and select
YES
to turn this option on.
4.
Adjust the temperature to between 0 and 70°C as required.
