3.3.4
Load
The load has to be fastened to the tow hook by means of appropriate fastening devices.
These prevent the load from slipping or tipping over while it is being pulled.
Appropriate fastening devices are, for example, hooks, slings, straps, and belts.
The inherent stability of the load must be ensured to prevent it from slipping off or tipping in
any case while it is pulled.
Make sure there are no obstacles that could cause the load to tip or get stuck.
Avoid any uncontrolled loading (e.g. buckets, containers) during lifting or in intermediate
positions, or control the loading with a load-measuring device.
While bracing or anchoring the machine, take into account the possible tension peaks (in a
static condition) caused by external influences.
Prevent excessive shocks and strains on the pulling machine (e.g. anchorage of moving
equipment, wind, etc.) by using relief rope.

Danger! Do not stay in the danger area of loads, guide
pulleys and ropes!
∆
Secure any freely suspended loads against twisting!
3.3.5
Pulling, lifting and lowering
Check that the rotation direction is correct for lifting and lowering prior to starting work. If
the rotation direction is wrong, ask an electrician to check the direction of the phases and if
necessary to correct them (check existing extension cable). (see page 79 ).
The precise setting of the rope drive and the arrangement of the machine are the best
guarantee for trouble-free work.
Insert the rope as instructed on the information label in the cover (see chapter 5.2, observe
the position of the rope with load hook).
Control the stretching of the rope and the lifting of the device when pulling! Observe the
movement of the load!
If pulled at an angle from above, the wire rope hoist will tip over due to the weight of the
motor. Either guide the wire rope hoist by hand, or align it using rope to the direction from
which it is being pulled, or prop it up with a chock of wood, or avoid diagonal forces using a
pulley, or use the HIT-TRAC with a frame (wire rope guidance).
In unclear situations, ensure that somebody is at hand to watch out, if necessary via radio
contact.
