USB CDC Function Check 

 

Background 

To test the USB CDC functionality, National 
Instruments Measurement and Automation 
Explorer can be used. This program is available 
on the NI website, 

www.ni.com

., via a search 

for the VISA Run-time Engine page, or 
“downloads” at the following URL, 
http://www.ni.com/visa/   

Requirements 

Operating System: Windows XP, 7, 8,10 

Functionality 
check 

1.

 

In case of Window 7 64 bits, once the USB Cable 
was connected to PC correctly for a while 
(around 1 min).  It may show below message at 
the lower right area of display. 
 

 

 

2.

 

Open the "Run" dialog box by pressing and 
holding the Windows key and then press the R 
key ("Run"). 

3.

 

Type devmgmt.msc and click "OK".
