to the people who will install, operate or maintain the motor. The Guide tells you what you need to
know about the product and how to use it safely.

Use the motor only if it is in full technical working order, for the purpose for which it is designed,
in a safety-conscious way and with due regard to the dangers, and in accordance with the Instal-
lation and Operating Guide.

Attach safety devices such as safety catches or security stays correctly and ensure that they
work properly. Ensure that the opening distance of the catching device is sufficiently large to
match the stroke of the drive.

Use only original spare parts, original accessories and original fastening materials from Gretsch-
Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge.

Fixing material must be compatible with the structure and supplemented if required.

Always verify if your appliance complies with the prevailing regulations. Special attention must be
paid to: opening distance of window, allowed installation dimensions, opening speed, pressure
force, cross section of connecting cable depending on cable length and current consumption.

The drive is designed for the use in dry rooms only. Ensure that it is permanently protected
against moisture and dirt.
Appropriate Use
The ELTRAL K60-300N chain motor is designed for the automatic opening and closing of tilt, top
hung, side hung, horizontal and vertical pivot windows, roof-lights and small domes exclusively. Any
other use is considered unintended use.
Gretsch-Unitas GmbH Baubeschläge is not liable for damage caused by unintended use.
The warranty shall be null and void in consequence.
Description of ELTRAL K60-300N and ELTRAL K60-300N Synchro
The chain motors ELTRAL K60-300N and ELTRAL K60-300N Synchro are designed for use in dry
rooms with a maximum ambient temperature of -5°C to +75°C. They can be installed either horizon-
tally or vertically.

Chain drive with stainless steel chain and electronical soft load disconnection and low current
consumption
•
Housing: anodized, natural aluminium colour (E6/EV1) (special colours on request); protection
class IP32
•
Integration into closing sequence control system is possible.
•
Steplessly adjustable chain tension provides for optimum running smoothness.
•
Chain can be unlocked by means of a special key, thus allowing for easy installation
•
Suitable for tandem and tridem operation without external control module (indicate when order-
ing)
