Scanning a barcode for a new dictation
The DigtaScan must be connected to the portable dicta-
tion machine, enabled and configured for the barcodes
you are using.
•
Switch on the portable dictation machine.
•
Move the slide switch to »
«.
•
Press the »
REC
«button, press the »
NEW
« button in the
display of »Record pause«
–»
SCAN
« and »
ESC
« appear in the display.
•
If you do not want to scan a barcode into the dictation
accompanying note, press the »
ESC
« button and con-
tinue with your dictation as usual.
•
If you want to scan a barcode, point the barcode reader
at the barcode as pictured and press the »
SCAN
« but-
ton.
– The device now scans the code with a red laser
beam. The machine acknowledges the successful
reading of the code with a single signal tone, and the
laser beam shuts off.
– The scanned barcode appears in the display.
•
If you want to include the barcode as displayed in the
dictation, press the »
OK
« button.
•
If you want to re-scan the code, press the »
SCAN
« but-
ton.
•
If you do not want to include the barcode in the dic-
tation, press the »
ESC
« button and continue with your
dictation as usual.
