3. General description
This booklet gives instructions for installation, operation and
maintenance of Grundfos KPL and KWM pumps.
KPL pumps are submersible axial-flow propeller pumps.

The KPL and KWM pump range offers the following features:

maintenance.
3.1 Applications
The pumps are specifically designed for pumping stormwater and
wastewater in a wide range of municipal and industrial
applications, such as the following:
• flood and stormwater control
• drainage/irrigation of large quantities of water
• raw-water intake
• transfer of liquids in large-scale municipal sewage treatment
plants
• circulation of large quantities of water in water theme parks,
etc.
