- replace all eventually damaged spare parts;
- clean up regularly eventual foreign bodies or dust which may possibly have got into the fans and all cooling grids: it is sugge-
sted to use a little brush or a vacuum cleaner; do not use any screw driver or any other acuminate object, since they might dama-
ge the fans or other parts of the unit.
Before starting any cleaning operation, it is suggested to disconnect the projector from the power supply, by unplugging the unit.
Before opening the upper lid of the projector, it is suggested to wait for at least 15 minutes after the lamp has been switched off.

7.0 LUBRICATION

The projector requires a regular lubrication. The frequency of the lubrication depends mostly on the operating environment (pre-
sence of dust, salt, etc.) and on the amount of movements which the components (effects) perform. If the operating environment
is not particularly dusty, it is suggested to lubricate every 350 operating hours; it is possible to check the operating hours by
means of the projector's timer (see paragraph 4.2).

Parts to be  lubricated:

7.1 Lubricating the rotating gobos

For a thorough working of the gobo rotating system, it is suggested to lubricate the balls of
the gears, by using a syringe and a high performance lubricating oil (pict. 9).

7.2 Lubricating the rotating prisms

For a thorough working of the prism rotating system, it is suggested to lubricate the balls of
the gears, by using a syringe and a high performance lubricating oil (pict. 10).

7.3 Lubricating the auto focus system

For a thorough working of the autofocus system, it is suggested to lubricate the rods which the
lens slides along, by using a syringe and a high performance lubricating oil (pict. 11).

7.4 Lubricating the zoom system

For a thorough working of the zoom system, it is suggested to lubricate the rods
which the lens slides along, by using a syringe and a high performance lubricating
oil.
Picture 12 displays the 3 sliding rods. It is also recommended that regularly the
feeding threaded rod of the zoom lens is slightly lubricated.

7.5 Lubricating the iris

For a thorough working of the iris rotating system, it is suggested to lubricate
the metallic part of the rotating support which is in contact with the nylon
gear, by using a syringe and a high performance lubricating oil (pict. 13).
