1.0 PACKING
Check carefully the content of the box and in case of damage contact immediately your forwarder. The following items are
included in the box:
N° 1 instructions leaflet;
N° 1 ACROBAT PE 1200 projector;
N° 2 XLR 3 and 5 poles connectors (1 male + 1 female);
N° 1 power supply socket;
N° 19 standard gobos.
2.0 SAFETY
This unit is equipped with a safety micro-switch, which will disengage the power supply to the lamp circuit, if you open the
front side. In any case, disconnect the lantern from mains supply before proceeding with any operation on the lantern (e.g., befo-
re replacing the lamp).
This lantern has been designed for indoor and outdoor use. Maximum ambient temperature must not exceed 35°C.
Caution: hot lamp. Wait for at least 15 minutes before replacing it.
If the projector is hung up, it is strongly recommended that a safety chain or wire is attached to this projector and secured to the
main mounting framework to arrest the fall of the unit, in the unlikely event that the primary mounting arrangement should fail.
After an eventual intervention, the safety chain must be replaced.
PROTECTION DEGREE IP20 - The Acrobat PE 1200 unit is proofed against infiltration of more than 12 mm solid bodies. It is
not water-proofed, which means it is not protected against rain and water jets.
3.0 INSTALLATION
3.1 Unpacking
Open the box and remove the 2 central polystyrene blocks. Hold the projector from the ballast fork and 2 side handles to pull it
out from the box. Do not lift the unit by grabbing it from the moving head: damage might be caused to the rotating devices.
3.2 Fitting the lamp
1) Remove the top plastic shell by releasing the 4 side hooks;
2) Remove the small covers of the lamp by unscrewing the 4 side screws,
which are indicated in the labels and in picture 1 (A).
3) Fit the lamp into its lamp holder:
- do not touch the lamp with fingers or dirty towels;
- do not shake the lamp;
- keep the lamp bulb protrusion out of the optical axis of the unit. It is sug-
gested to direct this protrusion towards the plastic shell, which has been pre-
viously removed to install the lamp:
4) Fit firmly the lamp into the lamp holder by screwing the fixing knobs;
5) Re-position the small covers of the lamp;
6) Re-position the top plastic shell and fit it to the bottom one by means of
the 4 hooks.
3.3 Mounting Position
The ACROBAT PE 1200 unit is equipped with a fixing plate, which allows a steady position on the floor; nevertheless, it can be
mounted in any position, so long as it is kept at a distance of at least 50 cm from the wall (or from the walls) to facilitate air cir-
culation around the projector and to limit the heating.
