Hybrid arm
Scorpion can be operated both with and without
parallel motion.
Mode of operation
The parallel function is operated via a Master Slave
System where 2 series-connected cylinders provide
the sideways movement
If the hybrid arm button is pressed, the raise/lower
cylinder is completely deactivated and the master
cylinder is now activated by the
joystick’s
raise/lower movement, while the slave cylinder is
operated by the joystick's sideways movements,

Activation and deactivation of the parallel
motion
•
One push of the button (the diode lights up),
parallel motion is deactivated. This can be done
at any time
•
One more push, the light in the diode goes out,
now parallel motion activated.
If master and slave cylinders are not running at the
same pace, it can cause a problem when parallel
motion is activated at full reach. If the small slave
cylinder reaches the bottom position first, the
movement will no longer be outwards, but only
downwards
.
