Caution:
It is strictly forbidden for a diesel engine to operate when there is no oil pressure or the oil
pressure is low in the lubrication system, stop the vehicle and check to eliminate the malfunction
immediately if it occurs.
Phenomenon and Cause of Malfunction
Troubleshooting
High oil
consumption
(1) Applied inappropriate oil
(2) Invalidation and leakage of the
sealing gasket and the oil seal
(3) Wear of the piston ring or the
ring slot
(4) Blockage of the piston ring
(5) Wear of the valve oil seal, valve
guide pipe or valve rod
(6) Wear of the cylinder
(1) Drain off the unqualified oil and fill with
specified oil.
(2) Replace the sealing gasket and the oil seal.
(3) Replace the piston ring or the piston.
(4) Replace the piston ring or the piston.
(5) Replace the oil seal, valve or valve guide
pipe.
(6) Repair the cylinder aperture.
Too low oil
pressure
(1) Applied inappropriate oil
(2) Blockage of the safety valve
(3) Blockage of the oil collector
(4) Wear of the oil pump rotor
(5) Breakage, crack or connector
looseness of the oil pipe
(6) Malfunction of the oil pump
(7) Over wear of the main shaft
bearing shell or the connecting rod

(8) Damage of the oil pressure
alarm device
(1) Drain off the unqualified oil and fill with
specified oil.
(2) Replace the safety valve.
(3) Wash or replace the meshy filter.
(4) Replace the oil pump assembly.
(5) Overhaul or replace the oil pipe.
(6) Overhaul or replace the oil pump assembly.
(7) Replace the main shaft bearing shell or the
connecting rod shaft bearing shell.
(8) Overhaul or replace the oil pressure alarm
device.
Engine oil
