Preparation and Setup
This section helps you prepare your tractor and
3P3025AH 3P3025AH for use.You must level the
planter, hook up the planter hydraulics to the tractor, and
check that the hydraulics have been bled.
Post-Delivery/Seasonal Setup
On initial delivery, use with a new tractor, and seasonally,
check and as necessary, complete these items before
continuing to the routine setup items:
Install monitor console in tractor (page 128).
Install any Options not factory- or dealer-installed.
Bleed hydraulic fold system (page 98).
Wing leveling and alignment (page 20).
De-grease exposed cylinder rods if so protected at
last storage.
Pre-Planting Setup
Complete this checklist before routine setup:
Read and understand “
” starting on page 1.
Check that all working parts are moving freely, bolts
are tight, and cotter pins are spread.
Check that all zerks are in place and lubricated. See
Check that all safety decals and reflectors are
correctly located and legible. Replace if damaged.
Tractor Requirements
Always use a tractor that is equipped with a quick attach
hitch.
Use the 3P3025AH planter only with a compatible
tractor. Planter models delivered with a 3-point hitch
compatible with ASABE S217 / ISO 730-1 standards:
Category III W 80 to 225 hp (60 to 168 kW)
Category III N 80 to 225 hp (60 to 168 kW)
Category IV W 180 to 400 hp (135 to 300 kW)
Category IV N 180 to 400 hp (135 to 300 kW)
