Operating Instructions
2-Point Planter with Lift Assist
The electrical circuit must be connected to allow the
wings to lower completely after the planter is
unfolded.
M
ake sure the low pressure return line from the fan is
connected to the tractor low pressure sump return before
folding or unfolding the planter. Operating the wing flex
circuit dumps oil (from the rod ends of the flex cylinders) into
the low pressure return circuit, so the low pressure return line
must be connected to the tractor.
Folding
Machine Damage Risk:
Inner and outer wing pins must be
removed
before wing
folding and unfolding or machine damage will occur.
1. Completely raise the planter. See
2. Remove depth stop spacers on the lift assist
cylinders. Install the cylinder lockup channels on the
lift assist cylinders. See “
3. Remove the inner wing lock pins and install them
in the storage locations .
4. Remove the outer wing lock pins and install them
in the storage locations .
5. On 15 inch and 20 inch row spacing models remove
any cylinder stop spacers on the wing flex cylinders
that may have been installed to limit up-flex.
Machine Damage Risk:
On machines with 15 and 20 inch row spacing, spacers must
be
removed from the wing flex cylinders
before folding or
machine damage will occur.
6. Activate the fold circuit and fold the planter.
