Wing and undercarriage
Don’t start building the model until you have read right through the building
instructions and are familiar with all the model’s components and stages of
construction. If you are not satisfied with any part, inform your supplier before you
start work on the aircraft.
Draw a pencil-mark on each of the aileron hinges to indicate the centreline.
The hinges can now be slid into the control surfaces as far as the pencil marks, and
glued in place with a few drops of thin cyano. The best method is to push the hinges
into the slots in the control surfaces to a depth of about 1 mm, apply drops of cyano
to both sides of each hinge, then push them in as far as the pencil line.
Allow the glue to set hard, then press the aileron and flap hinges into the slots in the
wing to check the fit; you may need to adjust the slots in the wing slightly.
Push the hinges into the wing to a depth of about 1 mm. Apply cyano to both sides of
the hinges as before, then push the ailerons and flaps against the wings, leaving a
gap about 0.5 mm wide along the hinge axis.
