Bilge Pumps
The Grand Soleil 43' is equipped with two separate bilge
pump systems:

Refer to the Diagram on page 5.3 for the positioning of the compo-
nents.
Manual Bilge Pump
• The manual bilge pump is operated by a lever located in the
cockpit on the port side of the aft seat. The pump draws water from
the main bilge through a siphoning hosepipe protected by a filter
and discharges water on the port topside, near the stern.
Electric Bilge Pumps
The two electric bilge pumps are located under the central seat in the
saloon and in the engine compartment (§ page
5

head group C and aft head group D.
• A filter is located on each pump suction end of the hoses to prevent
the clogging of the pumps.
