Understanding Tire Pressure
& Load Limits
Load Limits
are determined by the tire size and the greatest
amount of weight each tire can safely carry.
Tire Pressure
is the amount of air pressure a tire requires to
be properly inflated. It is measured in pounds per square inch
(PSI). Tire pressure affects your RV's overall performance and
provides the load-carrying capacity.
The proper tire pressure for your vehicle is referred to as the
cold inflation pressure.
You will also find this number on the
vehicle information placard expressed in both PSI and kilo-
pascals (KPA), the metric measurement used internationally.
It is difficult to obtain the recommended tire pressure when the
tires are not cold.

Keep tires properly
inflated. A tire that is run
long distances or at high
speeds while seriously
under-inflated will overheat
to the point where the
tire may lose air suddenly
and/or catch fire, possibly
resulting in damage to the
vehicle and its contents
and/or personal injury.

axles, running gear, tires
and wheels can lead to
failure that can affect motor
