8.3 Basic Functions
Real Time Clock
The real time clock will be recorded with the memory function and help you to recognize each measurement result.

Room Temperature
Suitable ambient temperature is important for the baby and patient, the thermometer always help you recognize
the room temperature.
- Please see the Illustration For Use section to learn how to get the correct room temperature.
Ear Temperature
Mode The thermometer has been designed for practical use. It’s not
meant to replace a visit to the doctor. Please also remember to
compare the measurement result to your regular body temperature.

Object Temperature
Mode The object mode shows the actual, unadjusted surface temperatures, which is different from the body
temperature. It can help you to monitor if the object temperature is suitable for the baby or patient, for example
the baby’s milk.

Fever Alarm
If thermometer detects a body temperature

Memory Mode
There are each 10 sets memories for ear and object measurements.
Each memory also records the measurement date/time/mode icon.

Probe Cover
Automatic Detection Automatic detection function, convenient for test with or without probe cover.
• After each use, disinfect the thermometer especially in case the device is used by more than one person.
• This thermometer must only be used with this brand thermometer probe covers.
• To avoid inaccurate readings, always attach a new, clean probe cover for each temperature reading.
6. ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY WARNINGS
This equipment has been tested and it complies with medical devices limits belonging to EN 60601-1-2:2007.
These limits have been designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a typical medical
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to other devices in the vicinity. However,
there is no guaranteed that the interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to other devices, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference following one or more of the suggestions below:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving device.
• Increase the separation between the equipment.
• Consult the manufacturer or field service technician for help.
• Do not use in proximity of the device, mobile phones and other devices, which can generate strong electrical
or electromagnetic fields as they can interfere with the operation of the device.

8. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Infrared Ear thermometer is specifically designed for safe use in the eardrum. The Infrared Ear Thermometer
is a device capable of measuring people’s body temperature by detecting the intensity of infrared light emitted
from the ear canal of human. It converts the measured heat into a temperature reading displayed on the LCD. When
properly used, it will quickly assess your temperature in an accurate manner.
