Remove nuts (23) and washers from
s t u d s .
Remove pump from vise and set pump
o n b e n c h w i t h s h a f t e n d u p . C o a t
t h e s h a f t e x t e n s i o n w i t h c l e a n
g r e a s e . T h i s w i l l h e l p t o k e e p
from damaging the rubber sealing
s u r f a c e o f s h a f t s e a l w h e n s e a l i s
removed.
Lift the flange (4) off the pump,
keeping the flange as straight as
possible during removal. If the
flange is stuck, use a wood mallet
or plastic hammer and tap around
the edge to loosen it. (Figure 46)
