Troubleshooting
Relieve the pressure before you check or repair the
meter. Be sure all other valves and controls and the
pump are operating properly.
To reduce the risk of serious injury whenever you
are instructed to relieve pressure, always follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure on page 4.
Problem

Display does not activate or is
showing unintelligent
characters.
Electronic control is malfunctioning.
Replace the electronic control.
Slow or no fluid flow
Filter(s) are clogged.
OR
Pump pressure is low.
OR
Shutoff valve is not fully open.
OR
Foreign material is jammed in the
metering element.

Relieve the pressure.

Clean the filters.
3.
If the problem remains, contact
your Graco distributor for repair
or replacement.
Battery icon continually
blinks.
Battery in electronic control is worn.
Replace the battery. See Replacing
the Battery on page 14.
Oil leaks from swivel.
Fitting is loose.
Torque the fitting to 140 to 150 in-lb
(15.8 to 16.9 N.m).
If the problem remains, contact your
Graco distributor for repair or
replacement.
Oil drips from nozzle.
Dripless nozzle is damaged or
obstructed.
Inspect the nozzle for damage or
obstructions, and replace if damaged.
Valve leaks.
Valve stem or o-rings are worn or
damaged.
Replace the valve stem and o-rings.
NOTE: Replacement parts are avail-
able in the Valve Repair Kit. See the
Parts List on page 16.
Error Codes
Err 1
Err 2
Err 3
Flow rate is higher than 5 gpm.
Switch Error: Error occurred with
pick-up in internal gear.
This error
may occur if the flow range is too
high.
Unit had to default to factory-preset
values for calibration factors.
This
error can occur only after you
replace the battery, and only if the
unit detects an input calibration fac-
tor that is out of the acceptable
range.
Adjust the flow rate so it is not higher
than 5 gpm.
Ensure that your flow rate is not
higher than 5 gpm. For further assis-
tance, contact your Graco distributor.
If you changed the calibration factor
from the factory-preset value, ensure
that it is correct according to the
tables in Calculating the Calibra-
tion Factor on page 11.
