DivX/MPEG4 OPERATION
INTRODUCTION TO DIVX
The DivX® codec is an MPEG-4 based video compression technology that can shrink digital video
to sizes small enough to be transported over the Internet, while maintaining high visual quality. To
view the compressed version of the video, you need a player designed to play DivX-encoded
content such as this GDVD161DX. This means that videos can be downloaded from the Internet
and then played using this player. For more information about the DivX® codec visit the DivX
website at www.divx.com.
SMART NAVI MENU
If the SMART NAVI option in the setup menu is set to ‘With Menu’ the following smart navi menu will be
shown
DivX/MPEG4 Files listing
The left column shows a list of folders on the disc. The right column shows the contents of the
folder selected.
Use the NAVIGATIONAL KEYS (
) to highlight the folder to be viewed and then press enter.
The contents of the selected folder will be displayed in the right column. Then use the
NAVIGATIONAL KEYS (
) to select the file to be played. During playback press the STOP
J button to return to the menu.
FUNCTION KEYS
Forward / Press the SEARCH FORWARD/BACKWARDS buttons to search
Backward forwards or backwards at high spead for a specific section
Next / Use the NEXT/PREVIOUS buttons to skip to later or previous
Previous tracks.
Mute Press the “MUTE” button to mute the audio. Press “MUTE” again to resume.
Pause Press PLAY/PAUSE button to pause playback. Press again to resume
playback.
Slow
To view the scenes in slow motion press the SLOW . To Resume normal
playback press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Step To advance frame by frame press the STEP button repeatedly.
