3. AUDIO SETUP
SPDIF OUTPUT
(DEFAULT: OFF)
Controls the output signal from the DIGITAL
AUDIO COAXIAL and OPTICAL outputs.
- Select OFF when connecting only to the TV or
connecting using a analogue amplifier
- Select SPDIF/RAW mode to activate raw
digital audio output. Typically selected when
using an amplifier with DOLBY DOGITAL
DECODER
- Select SPDIF/PCM mode to activate PCM
digital audio output. Typically selected when
using an amplifier with a 2-channel digital mode,
or when connecting to a stereo amplifier via the
DIGITAL COAXIAL or OPTICAL socket.
DUAL MONO
Mode selection for the L/R channel outputs. Mix-
mono can be used only if the DVD played has 5.1-
channel audio.
COMPRESSION
(DEFAULT: OFF)
Dynamic Range Control is used to suppress loud
sounds and enhance quiet sound for using the
player at night. There are 8 steps between full
compression and no compression.
