DISC MENU LANGUAGE  

 

(DEFAULT: ENGLISH) 

 

Select the default MENU language to be used 
when viewing DVD. If the selected language is 
not recorded on the disk, the default language on 
the DVD will be used. 
 
 

 
 
 

LOCALE 

 

(DEFAULT: GBR) 

 

There are several different versions of parental 
control, depending on where the disc is used. 
Use this setting to change the parental setting to 
the area the disc is designed for. (PLEASE 
NOTE: Parental controls will only work if the DVD 
being viewed is recorded with an age rating. 
Many disc are not recorded with such information 
and these will be played ignoring any parental 
control setting

 

 
 

PARENTAL 

 

(DEFAULT: NO_PARENTAL) 

 
Some DVDs are recorded with a parental rating. 
Use the PARENTAL option to select the 
maximum rated film that can be viewed without 
entering a PIN number. NOTE: This setting 
varies between DVDs. If no rating is recorded on 
DVD, the player will play the disc ignoring what is 
set for this option. 
 

 

PASSWORD SETTING

 

 

(DEFAULT: 3308) 
 

To change the rating set for PARENTAL option a 
PIN number (PASSWORD) must be entered. 
Use this option to change the PIN number from 
the default value of 3308. Select change then on 
the next screen enter the current PIN number 
into the first box using the numerical keys. Again 
using the numerical keys enter the new PIN 
number. Finally enter the new PIN number again 
into the third box to confirm the new PIN number.
