SECURITY LIGHT MODE SETTINGS (High Beam)
TEST mode allows the operator to verify the sensor range is working properly regardless of
whether it is day or night. TEST allows the internal dusk-to-dawn sensor to be by-passed
temporarily.
1. To put the light into
TEST
mode turn
Minutes
control knob to
TEST
.
2. To exit
TEST
mode, rotate the
Minutes
control knob away from
TEST
.
The
MINUTES
control determines the length of
time the lights stay on.When the
MINUTES
control
is set between 1 and 10, the light will only
come on during night time hours.
NOTE:
Automatically set at 3 minutes

45°
MAX.

The position of the sensor should not exceed 45° below
horizontal. Do not aim the motion sensor at any water,
bushes or plants that may move in the wind, pedestrian
traffic, moving cars, etc., as this may trigger the motion
sensor.
(Fig. 2)
DO NOT POSITION THE SENSOR WITH THE
CONTROLS FACING UPWARD.

SETTING THE LIGHT MANUAL OVERRIDE:
If the security light has been turned off at the switch, turn it on for 20 seconds to
allow the (PIR) sensor time to warm up prior to initiating the manual override
sequence.
To switch over to manual mode, switch the power
ON-OFF-ON
within 2 seconds.
There are 2 ways to return to sensor control:
1) To immediately switch out of manual mode, repeat the manual mode sequence of
power
ON-OFF-ON
within 2 seconds. This will cancel out manual mode.
2) The security light will remain on until the internal dusk-to-dawn sensor detects
the next dusk-dawn cycle. Once light is detected, it will allow the motion sensor to
return to controlling the fixture the next day.
MANUAL OVERRIDE
allows the light to turn on at any time, by
overriding all sensor controls, so the light comes on regardless of time
of day.

SETTING THE LIGHT ACTIVATION TIME:
Rotate the
MINUTES
control knob clockwise to control the length of time the lights will remain on. The
time settings of
1’ (1 min.)
,
2’(2 min.)
,
5’ (5 min.)
,
10’ (10 min)
are marked. However, the
MINUTES
control knob can be set anywhere from
1 minute
up to
10 minutes
. The time length can be set up or
down.
MOTION SENSOR
The 240-degree coverage of the motion sensor is measured side-to-side.
The sensor is more effective side-to-side, rather than motion coming
straight at it (in-and-out). Adjust the motion sensor head so that it detects
motion moving across the coverage area.
Rotate the
RANGE
control knob anywhere from
5 Ft
to
MAX.
(100 ft).
When the
RANGE
control knob is turned to
5 Ft
, the
detection zone is very tight and compact, causing the detection
sensitivity to be very high. The reverse is true, when the
RANGE
control knob is turned to
MAX
, the detection zone increases
exponentially with sensitivity being low. Perform a “walk by test” by
walking across the motion detection field at the approximate
distance set on the
RANGE
control knob
(Fig. 1)
.
IF THE TEST
FAILS
, try adjusting the sensor head toward the detection zone.
Sensor head can be adjusted either up or down, or left or right.
NOTE:
If the sensor arm becomes loose, readjust the
sensor head and tighten the joint screw on the sensor
arm.
