Care and maintenance :
- After use, close the valve and then rinse your board with fresh water and let it dry out before the storage.
- Make sure that sand can never get into the valve or into the board. This could cause damage.
- When storing your board, roll out starting from the opposite side of the valve so that the remaining air can
escape.
- Storage of your board has to be done in a clean, dry, and
fl
at for long term storage.
Practice advices :
- Never leave your board between a wave and you. The board could be thrown towards you and you knock violently. Hold your
board beside you by focusing its nose facing the waves. You can use the handles.
- Always use a leash with your board so that it’ll not escape from you in case you fall and can hurt someone else. The leash must
be in good condition and should be approximately the length of your board.
- To row standing, place one foot on either side of the central carrying handle. Keep your back straight, and keep your legs
fl
exible to cushion the chop and balance.
- Hold your paddle by directing its wing forward. One hand will hold the handle, the other hold the shaft.
- Choose a paddle whose size is suitable for your practice. For waveriding, choose a paddle of your size + 0cm / + 10cm. For
leisure use, use a paddle to your 10cm / 15cm +. For a racing practice, take a paddle your size + 15cm / 20cm.
- Do not go beyond the maximum distance from the shore that is allowed by the law.
- Please do not hold the board by the rings in stainless steel.
- Respect other users and bathers, do not pass up the board to them.
- CAUTION WITH CHILDREN! They must always be supervised by a responsible adult and wear a brightly colored lycra in addition
to a life jacket and a wetsuit. Do not let them practice alone or go o
ff
.
- Do not practice when the wind is o
ff
shore. Generally avoid the wind : It’s the SUP enemy.
Sur

The practice in the waves is very di
ff
erent from those on
fl
at water. To avoid accidents, there are rules governing behavior in the
water. These rules are not optional. Your responsibility would be engaged in case of accidents in violation of these rules, just as
by car.
The website
www.gongsup.com
has written for you a summary of the rules in the section How To / Rules. We ask you to read
these rules carefully, this for everyone safety and enjoyment.
