After the discharge of oil in the pump,
the crimper remains partially closed.
The ferrule of the uncrimped fitting
does not pass between the dies of the
crimper in resting position.
You have to press down hard on the
cover to assemble and disassemble the
upper body of the crimper.
1. The crimper still contains oil and the
pistons have remained partially
retracted.
2. Oil reservoir of the pump too full.
3. The springs of the die-holder
mounting or of the pistons are
broken or worn out and do not allow
the complete return of oil in the
pump.
1. Completely move the lever backward
and allow all the oil to go back into
the reservoir of the pump.
2. Remove excess oil.
3. Replace all the springs with new
ones.
Difficulty in assembling or disassembling
the upper body of the of the crimper.
1. The heads of the piston stems are
deformed and have difficulty passing
in the holes of the upper body of the
crimper.
2. The latch that locks the heads of the
piston stems is deformed.
1. Do not attempt any repairs on
the stems! Call the Distributor!
2. Check and if necessary replace the
latch.
Traces of oil on the tool. 1. Excessive lubrication in periodic
maintenance.
2. Slight leaks from the pumping
element and from the pistons.
1. Blow on the tool with compressed air
and remove any grit with a cloth.
2. After a certain amount of time, a
slight leakage of oil is natural.
Oil dripping from the tool. 1. Evident oil leak from the pumping
element or from the pistons after
every pumping.
1. Sealing gaskets worn out.
Do not attempt any repairs on
the tool! Call the Distributor!
