Two PCIe x1 lanes from the IDT 89HPES8T5 PCIe switch are connected to two Broadcom
BCM5787M PCIe GbE controllers shown in Figure 2-13 below.

The Broadcom BCM5787M is a 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet LAN controller. The
BCM5787M combines a triple-speed IEEE 802.3 compliant Media Access Controller
(MAC) with a triple-speed Ethernet transceiver, a PCIe bus interface, and an on-chip buffer
