MEASURES TO BE ADOPTED IN CASE OF MALFUNCTIONS
Malfunctions
Possible cause
Solutions and explanations
Electrical resistance
noisiness
Abnormal water hardness
degree.
High concentration of limestone
in water.
Limestone scales on the resistance cause irregular
and violent heat exchange in the areas where
limestone has descaled. The final solution is
installing a softener (A dosing device may not be
enough).
Water dripping from the
hydraulic safety unit
Internal pressure exceeding or
equal to 0.7 MPa (7 bar). Often
due to the normal water
expansion caused by heating)
The system is unable to “accommodate” the
thermal expansion of the heating water. To
prevent the dripping install an expansion tank or
connect the safety valve to a drain.

Water leaks
GENERAL NOTES
Leaks generally occur in the bottom section of the
equipment.
Always check for leaks in the SOURCE AREAS
specified below.
Condensation
If the water in the tank is cold dripping may occur.
Always check for any leaks when the water
temperature is at the set value.
Hot and cold water flexible
connectors
Check sealing and replace the gaskets.
Fully tighten and check sealing
Leaks from the resistance
Check sealing, replace the gasket and tighten fully.
Replace the resistance if it is defective.
WARNING: All the operations must be performed with the equipment disconnected from the mains.
