Power Switch
(Push-To-Start)
The
Power Switch
is a 3-position Switch. Press and momentarily
hold the top
[START]
portion of the switch to start hood and
provide power to the appliance underneath. When released, switch
remains in the
[ON]
(centered) position. To turn hood
OFF
press
the bottom of switch (power to appliance is also turned
OFF
).

HOOD POWERED
Light
Light is
ON
when the Power Switch is in the
[ON]
position. The
Filter Access Door must be properly closed before hood will power-
up.

APPLIANCE POWERED
Light Light is
ON
to signal that the appliance underneath the hood is
receiving power and ready for use.

E.A.C. Filter Status
Indicators
LED light cluster indicates the status of the Electronic Air Cleaner
(E.A.C.).
[ON] -
Turns
ON
when hood is powered-up. Indicates that the
E.A.C. system is powered and functioning normally to clean the air.
This is the only light
ON
when E.A.C. is operating properly.
[WASH] -
Indicates excessive grease film build-up on collector fins
(dirty), collector cell is missing, poor contact, missing ionizer wires,
etc. Approximately 2 minutes after this light turn
ON
, a
intermittent (beeping) alarm tone will begin sounding and power to
appliances is shutdown.
IMPORTANT! Do not rely on this indicator as a signal for routine
cleaning; cell must be cleaned daily to maintain peak performance
and extend the useful life of charcoal filters.
[CHECK] -
Indicates that collector cell has stopped operating
properly; either damaged & shorted to ground, fins shorted due to
excessive moisture, etc. No alarm sounds & the appliances remain
powered, but air cleaning system is not functioning.

CHARCOAL OR BAFFLE FILTER
CLOGGED
Light
Light will turn
ON
if either the Baffle Filter or Charcoal Filter is
dirty/clogged, or other airflow obstruction is present.

CHARCOAL OR BAFFLE FILTER
MISSING
Light
Light will
ON
if either the Charcoal or Baffle Filter is missing or
installed improperly.

EAC Cleaning Timer
[CHANGE SOON]
Indicator
Turns
ON
when timer enters
[WARNING MODE]
, indicating that the
EAC Cell must be cleaned within the next
24 hours
.

EAC Cleaning Timer
[CHANGE NOW]
Indicator
Turns
ON
when timer enters
[TIMEOUT MODE]
, indicating that the
maximum time between cleanings has expired. Cell must be
cleaned immediately. Power to appliance underneath hood is
turned
OFF
until cleaning is performed. Timer resets automatically.

EAC Cleaning Timer
[SNOOZE]
Button
Pressing button, after
[TIMEOUT]
is active, returns Timer to
[WARNING MODE]
and allows use of appliance for
two (2)
additional hours
. Two (2)
[SNOOZE]
periods can be used.
Afterward, power to appliance is locked-out until EAC Cell/Hood
cleaning is performed.
