4.1 Display and “Unit”-LEDs
In which unit is the measured value shown on the display?
It is the unit printed next to the green LED.
A regularly quick flashing LED shows the unit of the alterna-
tive measurement parameter, which can be selected by using
the “Mode>” switch.
In fields of very high magnetic intensity, the value will be dis-
played in mT (microtesla), and the mV-LED in this case
equals Volt. To avoid potential errors the colour of the LED will change to blinking
red.

“: Recharge the battery!

Err.
“: Short for ‘Error’. Indicates absurd settings, such as grounding cable or mains
adapter connected and potential-free E-field measurement preset both at the same
time. Select a different setting!

“:Reading not yet reliable, instrument is levelling off. Wait!

OFL.
“: Stands for overflow, The measured value exceeds the maximum value sup-
ported by the device. Try to increase the distance to the source of radiation.

CHAr
“: Instrument is being charged.
„
FULL
“: During the charging process, with the mains adaptor connected, this indi-
cation means: charging completed, battery loaded. During normal operation, how-
ever, “full” means either the SD memory card is not inserted, or it is full. In this case,
either insert card or check stored data and delete what is possible.

GAUS
“ : Temporary display whenever setting is switched to „M

“: Only when se-
lecting the option “Milligauss / Gauss” for the magnetic flux density in the configura-
tion code. This display unit is (still) commonly used in North America and several
other countries. In this case the reading in µT resp. mG will not be additionally dis-
played.
