2.1.2. PCI-DIO24-GD1
This version of the board includes RS485 transceivers. The transceivers are the 25 small gray outlined squares in
Figure 2 running down the center of the board. If the transceivers have four unpopulated solder pads to their right,
then the transceivers are RS485 style. The GD1 variation of the DIO24 is identical to the base version except for the
PCI identification register values given in the below table.

2.2. Connectors
2.2.1. External I/O Connection: P1
Connector P1 is the external I/O connector that gives the user access to the board’s I/O pins. This is a 50-pin
connector that includes two pins for each of the board’s 25 I/O lines. Pin one is at the lower right and pin 50 is at the
upper left. The connector is manufactured by Tyco and has the part number AMP 1-103311-0. The part number of
the mating connector is AMP 1-746285. Figure 3 shows the connector as seen from the left side of Figure 2. The pin
assignments are given in Table 3.
