Unit Configuration Option Settings
The Unit Configuration procedure involves the following steps:
1.
From the Configuration menu, select the Unit Configuration screen by typing 1 and press-
ing the Enter key.
2.
Type the selection number of the loop you intend to configure and press the Enter key.
Highlighting appears on the Data Rate current setting field for the selected loop.
3.
Use the up and down arrow keys to toggle the highlighted field through its potential set-
tings, or use the right and left arrow keys to shift the highlighting to one of the row’s other
current setting fields.
4.
When the three fields in the selected row display the desired settings, press the Enter key.
The highlighting disappears and the cursor returns to the Select field at the bottom of the
screen.
5.
Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each loop you need to configure. Remember that when you set
a loop to 128 kbps it occupies two timeslots on the backplane data highway.
6.
To put the configuration changes you’ve made into effect, type S (Save) and press the Enter
key. You may use either upper or lower case for letter responses.
In response, the screen prompts for confirmation:
*WARNING - SAVING DISRUPTS COMMUNICATIONS Continue? [ ] Y(es), N(o)
7.

Y
and pressing the Enter key, or abort the save by typ-
ing
