28. INSERT I/O
These are balanced phone-type input/output connectors. Each of these connectors is positioned between the
equalizer and fader of the corresponding input channel (Channels 1 to 8). These connectors can be used to
independently connect these channels to devices such as graphic equalizers, compressors, external effects,
and noise filters. These are ¼” TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) phone-type connectors that support bidirectional
operation.
29. CHANNEL INPUTS (UNBALANCED)
These are unbalanced input connectors. Two connector types are provided: ¼” TS phone-type (Channels
9/10 to 15/16) and RCA (Channels 13/14, 15/16). Use these connectors to input stereo signals, inputting the
L signal(s) to the ODD-numbered channel(s) and the R signal(s) to the EVEN-numbered channel(s).
NOTES:
Where a channel provides both phone-type (¼” TS) connectors and RCA
connectors, you must use either one of these connectors but you may not use both
at the same time. Please connect to only one of these connectors on each channel.
The phone-type (¼” TS) connectors for Channel 9/10 and 11/12 also support
monaural input. Specifically, if you input only into the L (MONO) connector of either
pair (while leaving the R connector empty), the mixing console will propagate the
same signal through both the L (MONO) and R inputs.
30. GROUP OUT (1-4)
These are impedance-balanced phone-type (¼” TRS) output connectors that output the GROUP 1-2/3-4
signals. Use these connectors to connect to the inputs of a multitrack hard disk recorder, external mixing
console or other such device.
31. ST (STEREO) OUT
These balanced XLR (male) and ¼” TRS connectors output the mixed signal whose level is adjusted by the
ST fader in the MASTER CONTROL SECTION. Output is in STEREO (L and R). You use these connectors,
for example, to connect to the power amplifier driving your main speakers.
32. C-R (CONTROL ROOM) OUT
These are impedance-balanced ¼” TRS output connectors. These connectors output the mixed signal
whose level is adjusted by the C-R/PHONES control. Output is in STEREO (L and R). These connectors are
typically used to connect to a monitor system in a control room.
NOTES:
The signals by these output connectors are monitored by selecting the
level-meter signal switches and the channel PFL switches.
33. SEND
AUX1 / AUX2
These are impedance-balanced ¼” TRS output connectors. These connectors output the signal from AUX1
and AUX2, respectively. You use these connectors, for example, to connect to an external effects unit or to a
cue box or other such monitoring system.
