38. AC ADAPTOR

For GECKO®  EXODUS MXR 1604DSP, use the included power adaptor. For GECKO®  EXODUS MXR
3204DSP, use the built-in power cord.

WARNING:

Be sure to verify your actual line voltage is the same as the voltage level

required by your mixing console. Connection to an inappropriate power source may
result in fire or electric shock, and extensive damage which is not covered by the
warranty.

MAKING CONNECTIONS

MAKING CONNECTIONS

The GECKO® EXODUS MXR 1604DSP / MXR 3204DSP can be used for many professional applications in
both live and studio settings.

For all connections, refer to the following steps:

1. Before connecting to microphones and instruments, be sure that all devices are turned OFF. Also be

sure that all of the mixing console's channel faders and master control faders are set all the way
down.

2. For each connection, connect one end of the cable to the relevant microphone or instrument and

connect the other end to the appropriate LINE or MIC connector on the mixing console. Where an
input channel provides both a MIC connector and a LINE connector, you may use either one of these
connectors  but   you  must   not   use   both   at  the   same   time.  Please   connect  to  only  one   of  these
connectors on each channel.

3. Make  connections  using quality audio  cables  (i.e.  GECKO®  TRUTH T3AL) and  connectors  (i.e.

GECKO® OLYMPIAN connectors) according to your requirements.

4. To   avoid   causing  damage   to  speakers,   power   up  the   devices   in   the   following   order:   Peripheral

devices → mixing console → power amplifiers (or powered speakers). When shutting the system
down, turn OFF the power in the reverse order: Power amplifiers (powered speakers) → mixing
console → peripheral devices.

5. Although it requires no special ventilation, ambient temperatures should not exceed 113°F (45°C)

when equipment is powered.

MOUNTING YOUR MIXING CONSOLE

MOUNTING YOUR MIXING CONSOLE

For mixing console mounting, refer to the following steps:

1. Two  metal  rack-mount   supports  are  screwed  onto  the   unit.  Use   a  screwdriver  to   remove these

supports.

2. Turn the supports over, and fasten them into place again using the same screws.

3. Mount the unit into the rack, and fasten it into place.
