User qualifications
Without suitable training, users cannot detect or
may incorrectly estimate the hazards presented
by the pressing procedure. They are therefore at
risk of injuring themselves or others.
• Only skilled persons qualified in pipe install-
ations are permitted to use Geberit Mapress
pressing collars and adapter jaws.
• Users must be conversant with and apply
country-specific safety regulations.
• Users working with Geberit pressing collars and
Geberit adapter jaws for the first time must have
been instructed by an expert in safe handling or
have attended a specialist course.
Following information and instructions
Failure to observe the safety notes and
instructions can lead to injuries.
• Read through and observe all safety notes and
instructions relating to the pressing tool, Geberit
pressing collar and Geberit adapter jaw before
commissioning.
• Read and observe the safety notes for the
consumables used.
